WHEN Victoria Showers entered a TV talent contest, most would have thought her name was written all over the top prize.
The 37-year-old from Ardgowan Road, Catford, entered ITV's national Search for a Weather Star competition, hoping to fulfil her dream of becoming a TV weather presenter.
But despite her success getting to the last five out of about 6,000 entrants she was pipped to the job with ITV, in a public vote by This Morning viewers.
Victoria, who is a reporter for British Airways' internal television channel and worked as a flight assistant, had to enter a five-minute show reel before she was selected for a 45-second live weather broadcast.
She told the News Shopper: "It was a great experience, I loved every minute of it. All us in the final five were told we were the one's who could do the job, so hopefully I'm one step closer to getting that dream job."
