A SYDENHAM man had a handgun shoved in his mouth during a terrifying attack by his ex-girlfriend's new lover, the Inner London Crown Court heard.
Richard Williams, aged 21, and a 17-year-old accomplice, allegedly confronted Aaron Douglas in Alldays, in Waldron Park, Sydenham, on July 29, last year.
Prosecuting, David Barnes said Mr Douglas had a relationship with Alexandra Grant between 1997 and 2000, and had kept in touch.
The jury heard Mr Douglas was dragged out of the store and driven to Miss Grant's flat.
Mr Barnes said after Miss Grant told him to escape, Williams put a gun in his mouth saying: "Give me one good reason not to shoot you."
He then allegedly ordered him to drive the 17-year-old around London but the car was stopped by police.
The jury was told Mr Douglas' saliva was found on the barrel of the gun, which was later discovered to be a blank-firing revolver.
Williams, of Windley Close, Forest Hill, and the Deptford teenager both deny false imprisonment and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
The trial continues.
