There was real red carpet treatment for a special VIP who paid a visit to Dulwich College last Tuesday, July 2.
The Chinese Ambassador to the UK Ma Zhengang paid a visit to promote the college's relations with Shanghai and to see the facilities.
The college already has a number of students from Hong Kong and two further scholars from Chengdu, a remote Chinese town, are due to study at the school from next September after winning scholarships through the HSBC's education trust.
Dorothy Wright of Dulwich College said: "The ambassador had a good look round and seemed to get on with people very well. He met staff and governors and stayed here for a good few hours."
