A KEBAB shop owner in Welling was fined for trading after midnight without a night cafe licence.
Yunus Tunc, who is the owner of Kebab Ye, in Falconwood Avenue, pleaded guilty to seven charges by post and was fined £4,200 and ordered to pay £500 costs, on June 27.
Six of the charges related to the shop trading after midnight without a licence in December 2001. A further charge, in April 2002, followed observations by an environmental health officer.
Bexley Magistrates' Court heard how Tunc has previous convictions for the same offences.
He was found guilty on August 10, 2000, for offences dating back to January 22, 29 and March 1, 2000.
When Tunc applied for a night cafe licence on September 2, 1999, and October 8, 2001, Bexley Council's licensing applications panel refused to issue one because of the likely nuisance to residents and because he had a previous conviction.
