QUARTER-PIPES, grind boxes and five foot high ramps are just some of the obstacles skate-boarders will face at the weekend.
Those taking part in the Skate'n'Stone skate boarding competition will be asked to perform specialist skating tricks for the judges on Saturday. As well as skill and style the judges will be taking note of which skaters do the best back-to-back and manual pad skating.
The competition, from 11am to 4pm is open to everyone from youngsters under 11 to older skaters over 18.
The course, in Davies Lane Junior School, Leytonstone, will be set out as the equivalent of a street skate boarding course.
Skaters of all abilities are welcome to take part in the competition but all skaters must wear helmets for safety. Some helmets will be provided but they are limited in number and skaters should take their own if possible.
