IT WAS cups of tea all round for the residents of North Cray who celebrated their new community hall with an open day for all the family.
The hall, formerly part of North Cray Primary School, has been adapted and refurbished and will be the base for many community activities.
At the open day children enjoyed the play area and a magic show while mums tried their hands at nail art, flower arranging and IT taster sessions.
Lynda Stevens, the Living Well project manager, and Maria Jacobs, the community development worker, who will both be based at the hall, in Bedens Road, were there to talk to people.
The refurbishment was paid for by Single Regeneration Budget cash and support from Bexley Council. Call Maria Jacobs on 020 8309 9975 and Lynda Stevens on 020 8302 8973.
