AN NHS trust report congratulated Whipps Cross staff for their handling of the bug that closed 16 wards.
More than 15 patients and 165 staff were hit by the contagious Norwalk-like virus last month.
At Friday's meeting of the hospital's NHS trust, director of nursing and quality Eileen Sills said: "Although there are lessons to be learnt, the trust managed this incident effectively. This can be attributed to excellent communication, commitment and dedication of staff."
