A Belmont company specialising in left-handed products has picked up a top award for its use of the internet as a business tool.
Anything Left-Handed Ltd, which won the regional finals of the recent UK E-Commerce Awards, was recognised for the impact its website has had on business turnover.
Set up 35 years ago as a retail shop in London's West End, the company has evolved into a mail order and international retailer as well as a global wholesaler of left-handed items to other companies.
With only eight employees at their premises in Avenue Road, the company attributes its recent expansion to the website launch last year.
Director Keith Milsom said: "Our website has allowed us to communicate with potential customers and market our business worldwide at very little cost, making international development possible."
Keith and co-director Denis Zekic travelled to the Globe Theatre in London last month to receive their £2,000 prize and are due to attend the national finals on July 3.
