RAY LEWINGTON is reportedly on the verge of being appointed Watford's new manager.
Media speculation claims the current caretaker boss has edged ahead of Steve Coppell and Peter Taylor in the race to succeed Luca Vialli, but Coppell will still move to Vicarage Road as Lewington's assistant.
It is understood the board of directors are meeting today (Wednesday, July 10) to finalise the new manager's arrival, and official confirmation of who the new manager will be is expected by the weekend.
