Greenwich: A thug who assaulted a professional footballer during the night of violence at Millwall has been jailed for four months and a day.
Twenty-five-year-old Colin Casey was sentenced by Greenwich magistrates on July 3 for common assault and pitch invasion.
Magistrates saw photographic evidence of him attacking veteran Birmingham City centre-half Steve Vickers during the pitch invasion at the New Den on May 2.
Casey, of Baylis Road, Waterlooville, Hants, had pleaded guilty to both offences.
He was sentenced to four months for the assault and a day for the pitch invasion.
