THERE was some good displays from a number of members from Bishop's Stortford Running Club at the challenging 10 kilometer road race at Puckeridge on Sunday.
Following a good performance around the three lap course, Richard Clarke was narrowly beaten into third place in a time of 37min 15sec.
There was however more joy in the ladies over 55 race, where Stortford's Mary Poynter put in a great performance to claim second spot.
Other members who took part were Chris Tate, Paul Johnson, Greg Hart, Paul Tappin, Cathy Chapman, Lorraine Evans, Peter Amos, Anne Gauld-Clark, Ros Daniels, Val Brown, Kim Bird, Christine Robinson, Chris Pirie, Charlotte Payne and Seonaid Brooks who recorded a personal best over the distance with a time of 67min 38sec.
