A Croydon based IT company has just been recognised for innovation in sales and marketing at a prestigious BT awards ceremony in Dublin last week.

The BT Indirect Channels Innovation Award 2002 was given to SSI Computer Services Ltd after it beat competition from over 200 of BT's other UK partners.

The award was presented to SSI's Managing Director Steven Fenn by John Thornhill, general manager of BT Indirect Channels, at BT's flagship event for its partners - Partners' Experience 2002, in Dublin. BT Indirect Channels provides communications solutions to businesses and SSI is one of its partners.

SSI is a managed services provider offering total IT support and infrastructure development solutions to both the SME and enterprise markets throughout the United Kingdom.

It was given the award in recognition of its contribution to sales and marketing achievements and its continued commitment to BT's channel strategy over the last year.

SSI's Steven Fenn said: "We are incredibly proud and pleased to have won this prestigious award and to be recognised by a

company like BT.

"The entire company has worked very hard to achieve this and we would like to thank all our staff."

BT's John Thornhill said: "SSI is a relatively new partner to BT and it has contributed a lot of revenue to our business over the last year.

"Its strengths is in working with new technologies and that will continue to make it an important partner."
