PRIOR to the local council elections many people noted a sudden and concerted cleaning of our streets. I am delighted to say that in my area this has continued unabated.
A friend living in Haringey tells me of the same clean-up over a similar period of time. However, since the election all such cleaning has ceased.
Would it just be too cynical to assume that since Labour got back into power in Haringey they feel it is safe to ignore residents and their environment?
Would we have found ourselves similarly treated had the Labour Party hung on in Enfield?
