Youngsters were thrilled to get a thank-you from Buckingham Palace when they sent in some designs of their own for the Queen's underwear.
Among the motifs created by the pupils, from Courtwood Primary School, Addington, were crowns, dogs and bones (keeping a corgi theme) and an England football team undergarment for when Her Majesty wishes to support her team discreetly.
The creative talents of the six and seven-year-olds make up a display on their classroom wall. The pupils, who were inspired by Nicholas Allan's The Queen's Knickers were delighted to receive an official reply from Buckingham Palace, which thanked them for keeping the Queen in their thoughts during her golden jubilee.
