There is to be no independent inquiry into an accident in which a teenage boy was knocked down by a police van on a 999 call.
The Police Complaints Authority said the boy's injuries were not serious enough for it to get involved and will allow Scotland Yard to investigate its own officers instead.
The 14-year-old was hit by the van, which had its lights and siren on, as he crossed Camrose Avenue in Edgware, at 3.35pm on June 27, just yards from the gates of Canons High School in Sheldon Avenue, where he is a pupil.
He suffered head injuries and was knocked unconscious. Paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to Northwick Park Hospital, where he was kept overnight.
Bruce Goddard, headteacher at Canons High School, said: "The boy seems to have recovered and is back at school. We are now investigating with the council how traffic safety can be improved on Camrose Avenue."
