Epping Forest: Detectives investigating the murder of a boy whose torso was found floating in the River Thames last September are continuing to examine a similar case in Epping Forest, near Connaught Water, 33 years ago.
They found obvious similarities with the Epping Forest case when tasked with looking at all unsolved child murders.
In the 1969 case the torso of a baby girl of African descent was found in the forest. She is believed to have been the victim of a ritual murder.
The girl's father, who was the prime suspect, fled the country.
The boy found in the Thames, who is thought to be from Africa, has been called Adam by police.
A married woman, aged in her 30s and of west African origin, was detained at her home in Glasgow on Tuesday and transferred to a south London police station for questioning.
Police spokeswoman Kate Campbell said: "We don't think it (the Epping Forest case) is linked to the Adam case.
"It is being investigated mainly for intelligence purposes and because it's an unsolved child murder, which is rare."
