The Friends of Carshalton Water Tower in West Street hosted a fundraising champagne reception on Saturday.
This follows their 10th anniversary celebrations, where Carshalton and Wallington MP Tom Brake attended a party hosted by chairman of the friends Jean Knight celebrating the group's achievements in improving the 18th century tower including the rebuilding of the water wheel, toilet facilities, better lighting and the recent refurbishment of a tiled bathroom.
The historic tower was built by Sir John Fellows, former owner of Carshalton House, now St Philomena's School.
It is open every Sunday from 2.30pm to 5pm until the end of September, with a guided tour on the first Sunday of each month.
