ONLY 5.2 per cent of those who voted in The Watford Observer's online poll thought new manager Ray Lewington was the right man to take the Hornets' forward.
The poll was launched shortly after Luca Vialli was sacked, and, based on the 267 legitimate votes registered by Thursday, July 11, Graham Taylor's former number two John Ward emerged the clear winner with 31.8 per cent.
Peter Taylor came a clear second with 23.6 per cent, while Steve Coppell narrowly pipped Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler (9 per cent) into third with 10.5 per cent.
