Madam Butterfly will be fluttering around local open-air festivals next week in two different guises. Puccini's opera has been independently scheduled for both Wimbledon's Cannizaro Park Theatre Festival and Ewell's Bourne Hall Jubilee Festival.
With the catchline "Never before have there been so many arias in your area", London City Opera stages the Cannizaro Park version for three performances with sopranos Fiona O'Neill and Constance Novis alternating the title role from Tuesday to Thursday.
The single performance of Opera Box's production at the Bourne Hall Festival on Wednesday is accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Wales.
