Carshalton Athletic who struggled to find the goal at times last season have been boosted up front by the signing of Nigel Webb from Tooting & Mitcham.
Webb, 28 who scored 87 goals in 96 games during his two years at Sandy Lane completed his move from the Robins Ryman League rivals this week after being invited to pre-season training by manager Graham Roberts.
Webb admits he is "excited" by the prospect of working with the former Spurs player.
"It was a very hard decision to leave Tooting," he said.
"But I had a chat with Graham and decided it would be beneficial for my career if I worked with a top, experienced ex-player.
"The squad he has assembled looks really good.
"I have never played in the Premier Division, but Graham has a squad with the potential to gain promotion."
Webb, who played alongside his brother Tony at Tooting, said: "It will feel strange facing my former club next season, but I hope Ian Hazel does well. He is a good manager."
