Nearly £160,000 will be used to create hundreds of extra places at out of school and holiday clubs in Sutton.
The majority of the cash, £120,000, will go to Sutton Council to fund more than 160 places at weekend and after school clubs serving 16 schools.
The clubs are for children aged five to 16 and include provision for special needs places.
And almost £37,000 will be spent by the Pre-school Learning Alliance to create five new clubs (124 out of school places) for three to seven year olds.
The money comes from the New Opportunities Fund, which uses lottery cash to finance community projects.
It is the third successful bid by the alliance to the fund, creating a total of 379 out of school places.
