A team of 40 NHS nurses paid a visit to the Kingston Territorial Army Centre, in Portsmouth Road, Kingston, for a leadership and team building event.
This new venture, with 256 City of London Field Hospital, is designed to share skills that the NHS nurses who volunteer in the TA have gained through their military training.
TA nurse Captain Jo Ireland said: "I have experienced so many different situations serving in the TA, constantly challenging myself gives me a real sense of achievement.
"It is some of this enthusiasm, personal ambition and confidence that I want to communicate with the new generation of nurses."
The 256 Field Hospital nurses have served in the Gulf, Bosnia, Kosovo, Germany and Oman, and are keen to hear from anyone who could join their ranks.
