A group of Roundshaw teenagers have been recognised for their voluntary efforts at Roundshaw Youth Centre.
The young volunteers were rewarded for their help in running the junior club at the centre in Mollison Drive on Thursday evenings.
Team leader Julie Upton was on hand last week to receive an Investors In Volunteers Award on behalf of the group, which was assessed by representatives from the Wandle Valley Volunteer Bureau in May.
The teenagers are part of the Youth Volunteer Project which has been running successfully for more than three years and involves volunteers aged between 14 and 21.
Under the project, volunteers receive training in first aid, health and safety, anti-discriminating practices and child protection.
