A blind pianist travelling to Uganda to make a radio programme about local music is appealing for instruments to take over as gifts.
Francis Rwama, 48, has been given a grant by London Arts, formerly the London Arts Board, to travel to the country of his birth to exchange ideas with musicians and collaborate on future projects.
He will be making a radio show for Arts FM about his three-week trip and a report for London Arts.
He leaves on August 9, but the £555 grant does not fully cover his air fare, and he is hoping to take out an electronic keyboard and other instruments to give to the university which has helped arrange the trip.
Mr Rwama said: "A good quality keyboard would be really appreciated, and any other instruments as well."
If you can help, call him on 020 8644 9995.
