Visitors to the Pantiles, in Royal Tunbridge Wells, will soon be able to experience life as it was in 1792.
Scandals at the Spa Festival is an event in the Georgian theme which will see 20 costumed characters bring the colonnaded walkways of the Pantiles alive with an entertaining mix of period music, dancing and drama from July 24 onwards.
Festival-goers will be able to mix with the characters, joining the gentleman at the gaming tables, the ladies at the coffee-house or attending the sermon at the Chapel of King Charles the Martyr.
A highlight is the Grand Subscription Ball and Supper on July 27, offering visitors the chance to dress up in period costume and join in the fun and frolics with the characters of the day.
And finally, on July 28, there will be a will be a Grand Fair with Georgian games, stalls and souvenirs, music and puppets.
