Sanderstead Junior School was founded in 1906 and provides a happy and stimulating environment for boys and girls from the ages of 3 to 11.

At the ages of three, children join our Nursery department, and from this early age they can be found to be busy at the computer keyboard or learning the basic skills of literacy and numeracy through educational play. There is a gradual transition towards more formal education as children progress through the school, and a generous staff ratio ensures sound foundations. Qualified and specialist staff provides a wide

curriculum, including art, drama, music and sports, allowing children to develop in all areas of life. They are encouraged to aim for high standards whatever their strengths may be.

Scholarships and bursaries gained over many years, pay tribute to the care and individual attention given to all children. Former pupils have distinguished themselves at their Senior Schools, and tribute has been paid to the foundations laid at Sanderstead Junior School.

Specialist teaching of English as an Additional Language, and Dyslexia therapy can be arranged for any child requiring help.

After school care can be arranged, and Government funding is available for three and four year olds. Interviews can be arranged at parents convenience.
