LODGE SCHOOL is an independent establishment providing a stimulating and sound education for boys and girls. The school is co-educational until the age of 11 in two separate lodges Silverdene (3-6 years) and Downside (6-11 years). Commonweal Lodge, the Senior Department, is a single-sex school, which caters for girls from eleven to eighteen.
The school accepts pupils with a wide range of abilities, offering individual support and small classes. This enables progress to be closely monitored, ensuring the maximum success for each child. The academic
curriculum is wide-ranging, challenging and flexible, and a strong emphasis is also placed on Art, Drama and Music. The school boasts three recently re-furbished computer suites, two gymnasia and outdoor swimming pool. There are extensive playing fields providing enviable space on site for a variety of
activities. The setting is exceptional within the area, surrounded by trees and, well away from traffic
pollution; the children enjoy a matchless environment.
Academic scholarships are awarded at 7+ and 11+, a Drama and Performing Arts scholarship is also
available at 11+. Reduced fees are available in our thriving sixth form for Commonweal pupils attaining a high standard of GCSE results.
Lodge School is an environment where the individual matters.
