The increasingly popular Royal Russell School, situated directly opposite the Coombe Lane Tramstop in the spacious Addington Hills, offers a real alternative to other independent schools in the area.
This medium sized School is large enough to offer an extensive curriculum and state of the art facilities but small enough to recognise the individual. Girls and boys aiming at University Entrance enjoy the many benefits of a boarding and day school. All pupils are invited to join in the varied after school activities and then, after first prep, to stay for supper. Senior School Headmaster, Dr. john Jennings says This allows busy working parents more flexible arrangements. In addition it is possible for pupils to board for short periods in our beautifully appointed residential areas whilst parents go overseas.
The recent developments at the School entrance an above average campus. The £1 million indoor pool, integrated computer suite, library and Sixth Form Centre were in the first phase and the next exciting development is now underway.
The Preparatory School, which accepts day girls and boys from the age of 3, shares many of the facilities with the Senior School. In addition they have many specialist facilities that it is unusual to find available to younger pupils. Preparatory School Headmaster, Christopher Hedges says There is a strong interest amongst parents in our above average facilities coupled with small classes and highly experienced teachers. Sadly we are having to disappoint more and more people as interest spreads. Early application really in important.
(Do make sure that you visit the Royal Russell School Open Morning on Saturday, 5th October 2002. Come by Tram1).
