THE newly appointed Watford reserve team coach Nigel Gibbs was on hand on Friday, July 12, to help a local company's fundraising efforts for Sport Relief.
He visited the Sitel call centre at Wolsey Business Park, in Tolpits Lane, Watford, as 65 members of staff donned sports gear and got set to man the phones to receive pledges of cash for the fundraising bonanza.
Sitel secured just under £110,000 in donations for the charity.
Staff, who helped out during Comic Relief last year, handled almost 5,000 calls from people making donations during that time.
The company rewarded staff who volunteered to help out at the event with a free barbecue.
Sitel's human resources manager, Mr Jason Jobling, said: "It was a very successful event and all who volunteered found it to be very tiring but certainly rewarding."
