Congratulations to Mr Walsh for his recent hole-in-one at Bridgedown Golf Club (Between the Lines', Times Group, July 11).
I can tell him from personal experience that he was lucky to escape with only a £40 bar bill mine was nearer £100.
Far from being the first ever hole-in-one at Bridgedown, the club records show 19 members have achieved this feat on the course two of them on the same hole as Mr Walsh in the last nine months.
