Brondesbury 121 Teddington 106
Middlesex County League Division One
Brondesbury bowled well to end the nine-match 100 per cent record of leaders Teddington on Saturday.
And that after making a terrible start that saw them struggling at 32-4. Will Sellar, Nick Compton, Matt Stein and Peter Morgan fell cheaply, caught edging the ball to the slips and the wicketkeeper.
Dancy did the damage with his away swingers, but Tommy Simpson held things together until soon after lunch when he was out for 32, the top score of the day, to leave the home side on 54-5.
Two more wickets fell before Mark Lowrey (30) and Vishal Bhimjiyani (10) added 30 precious runs for the eighth wicket.
Ian Kidd (10) was the only other player to reach double figures as Brondesbury were all out for 121 in 63 overs.
After Matt Stein (4-37) claimed the early wicket of Danny Waugh, the extra pace of James Bruce (3-37) accounted for Teddington's Middlesex players James Dalrymple and Tom Harrison. Dalrymple was caught by wicketkeeper John Munro and Peter Morgan snapped up Harrison in the slips.
At 31-4, Attfield and Tarrant shared a stand of 39 before three wickets fell in rapid succession, shared by Stein and John Wall, in his senior debut.
Then Simpson called up Lowrie, who provided the finishing touch, helped by catches from Kidd in the deep and James Bruce at extra cover.
Brondesbury are home to Hampstead on Saturday (11.30am).
Teddingon II 218-7dec (King 71), Brondesbury II 216-8 (Gladwin 86, Floyd 56). Brondesbury III 189 (Mavro 66), Teddington III 140 (Thorburn 6-30).
