A CHEF cooked up hate through a website offering wannabe terrorists the "Ultimate Jihad Challenge", the Old Bailey heard.
Suleyman Zainulabidin of Ryan Close, Kidbrooke, is accused of offering weapons training to would-be terrorists, including two-week courses at a secret American training camp.
The 44-year-old was arrested in central London, on October 2, last year, less than a month after the US terror atrocities of September 11.
When police searched his flat on the Ferrier Estate, they found a high-powered state-of-the art hunting rifle.
But the allegations against him centre on his involvement in the website, called Sakina Security Services.
As well as links to other Jihad sites, the Sakina carried messages telling Muslims it was their duty to "prepare in basic survival skills" and offers of terror training.
Downloaded articles found on his computer included one from the World Islamic Front, which read: "We, with God's help, call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded, to kill Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever we can find it".
One floppy disk recovered from a camouflage waistcoat inside his flat detailed books for sale. Titles included Mind Control, How To Create Guerilla Armies and Improvising Explosive Devices.
Zainulabidin boasted of having been coached in parachuting, bodyguard and anti-terrorism techniques, and admits being the chief administrator of the site but claims it was set up for bona fide commercial reasons.
Prosecutor Mark Ellison told the jury: "Jihad is a word used by Islamic extremists to justify acts of direct action fighting, aggression and it is commonly coined holy war' against their perceived enemies.
"On the page entitled The Ultimate Jihad Challenge, it offered a two-week course in the United States of America.
"The motivation behind it, in part, was the pursuit of Jihad in the sense of a holy war."
Among documents Zainulabidin had downloaded from the internet were detailed articles on Osama bin Laden and the Islamic Front, but Mr Ellison stressed to jurors: "Nobody is suggesting that the defendent was a member of Al-Qaeda or was working on behalf of Al-Qaeda. May I make that absolutely plain."
Zainulabidin, who converted to Islam in 1979, denies the charge of inviting persons unknown to receive weapons training, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2000.
The trial continues.
SUSPECT'S BIN LADEN FASCINATION
Zainulabidin is alleged to have had a keen interest in Osama Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda terror network.
At a preliminary Old Bailey hearing, on January 5, the court heard as well as offering training to would-be terrorists, he posted Bin Laden's propaganda on the website.
The fugitive Saudi Arabian is understood to have recruited a number of British Muslims, including accused Bromley "shoe-bomber" Richard Reid into his underground group.
Reid is currently on trial in the US for attempting to blow up a passenger jet.
The full nature of the writings have not yet been revealed but are expected to play a key part in the chef's trial.
The Sakina Security Services website was shut down by the security services shortly after his arrest and is now permanently off-line.
