IT'S ALL happening in Slade Green this weekend.

The wildlife and heritage trail across Crayford marshes will open for the first time and there will also be a fun day.

For teenagers aged 13 to 18, it will also be the chance to sign up for midnight basketball sessions throughout the summer.

On Saturday, July 21, in the recreation ground, in Hazel Road, the Slade Green Community Forum is hosting a fun day from 11am to 4pm which includes a "village" of bouncy castles, circus skills (from 1pm to 4pm) a photographic exhibition and stalls.

At noon, the wildlife trail will be opened. There will be pond dipping, a guided walk and, from 9pm, a bat walk.

On Sunday, there will be a bird walk from 9.30am, more pond dipping and guided walks.

For teenagers, there is the chance to register for basketball coaching over the next 12 weeks from July 23.

To book a place, call Groundwork on 01322 287727. For details of basketball registration call Jackie Brown on 020 8284 5555.
