French

The Cercle Francais de Richmond usually meets on second Thursdays, 8pm in the Vestry Hall, 21 Paradise Road, Richmond, for talks in French. Visitors £3, concessions £1. July 13th: Celebration de la Fete Nationale Francaise. Celebrate with members with wine and music. Cercle also meets on last Thursdays, 8pm at 13 Rosslyn Road, Twickenham, for discussion in French. Horticulture

Twickenham Gardening Association meets third Tuesdays in Whitton Methodist Church Hall, Percy Road at 7.30pm. Secretary Shirley Tubridy 8894 3512. The George Best Trading Centre next to 68 Meadway is open Saturdays and Sundays, 10.30am-12.30pm. July 16th: Dr Terry Smale, expert grower presents illustrated talk on South African bulbs, including their propagation. Also bulbs for sale.

Flower Arranging

Hampton Hill Flower Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month in All Saints Church Hall, The Avenue, Hampton, 8pm-10pm. This year the club will be teaching flower arranging to new and novice members. Some meetings feature demonstrations given by an experienced NAFAS demonstrator. July 20th-21st: Summer Show at Squire's Garden Centre, Sixth Cross Road, Twickenham.

Photography

Whitton Photographic Club has a wide and varied programme of speakers, competitions, studio evenings and field trips. 8pm on Mondays in Whitton Community Centre, Percy Road. 8894 1553.
