CORINTHIAN Casuals, one of the world's most famous clubs and the highest ranked amateur club in the country, are looking for a sponsor (writes Rob Cavallini).
Casuals play in Ryman League Division One South and run a reserve team in the Suburban League as well as a veterans side.
The club also has a strong youth section, comprising of 17 sides from Under 9s and a newly founded girls team.
Casuals pride themselves on their fair play and sportsmanship and this is where the origins of the Corinthian Spirit' is found. Casuals other claims to fame include that the founder' of Brazilian football, Charles Miller is an ex player, the FIFA World Club Champions Corinthians Paulista were named after the club and Real Madrid adopted their famous white colours from that of the Corinthians.
Casuals even managed to inflict Manchester United's record defeat on them 11-3 in 1904.
The club is striving to improve it's facilities at their ground in Hook Rise South, Tolworth. Better training facilties for all the sides,amongst other projects, are on the agenda. Due to the amateur nature of the club any prospective sponsor will see the benefits of investing in a club which is fast becoming a focal point in the Tolworth and surrounding area's communities.
