Barnet 0 Crystal Palace 3
Friendly
Junior Agogo, Barnet's new striker, made a lively debut against a strong Crystal Palace side in Friday's friendly.
Agogo, 22, opened up the defence with a strong run after 20 minutes, sending a long-range shot just wide of the upright.
Bees boss Peter Shreeves enthused about his attack: "The biggest plus for me was the joint effort of (Ben) Strevens and Agogo. I can see them being a decent combination and don't forget that we still have Wayne Purser to come in."
First Division side Palace included former Bees favourite Dougie Freedman.
Palace's man-of-the-match Steve Kabba opened the scoring after 26 minutes when he fired inside the far post.
Andrejs Rubins hit the second two minutes later and Freedman headed on Danny Granville's cross for Jamie Butterfield to score the third in the 37th minute.
BARNET: Harrison, Gledhill, Yakabu, Arber, Flynn (Olyinka 68), Midgley (Pope 55), Pluck, Niven (Soloman 46), Sawyers (Bell 46), Agogo (Murray 69), Strevens (Oshitola 57).
CRYSTAL PALACE: Clarke, Granville, Fleming, Austin, Popovic, Butterfield, Mullins, Thomson, Freedman, Kabba, Rubins.
- Barnet's finances suffered this week after the firm running its web site asked it to forgo its share of a £5million payout.
Premium TV, a subsidiary of ntl, has asked Barnet, along with 72 other Football League clubs, to waive internet rights fees for a greater share of future profits. The money, due for payment next week, is partly calculated by the number of hits' the site receives each week.
