A DOCTOR known for his friendly, open manner retired after more than a quarter of a century of service at Watford General Hospital last week.
Consultant rheumatologist Dr Nisar Pandit, of Watford, will be greatly missed by patients and colleagues alike, according to his personal assistant Pauline Wingate.
The 65-year-old has retired from the NHS and taken a week's holiday before continuing to work at the Bupa Hospital in Bushey.
A video camera was presented to Dr Pandit by staff at his leaving party in the dining room of Watford General last Thursday.
