Sinjuns 260-8 Old Walcountians 261-7
Old Walcountians snatched victory off an over-throw from the final ball against Sinjuns on Saturday.
Walcountians elected to field but the home side raced along at five an over.
Skipper Andrew Dixon used five bowlers in an attempt to stem the flow of runs and Quayle eventually took 4-71.
The home side used all of their allocated 55 overs in making 260-8, with Huitson also grabbing four wickets.
The visitors began the chase well with a century opening stand before Quayle was out for 34. When Dixon joined opener Porter, Old Walcountians required 140 from 20 overs but with plenty of wickets in hand, victory was still a possibility.
Porter was run out for 89 and when Dixon followed for 25, it was left to Blackburn and Dunckley to keep the run chase going. Dunckley kept the scoreboard ticking over but the visitors still required 20 from the final two overs when he was dismissed for 24.
The final over started with 11 required and with Blackburn pulling the first ball for six, the odds swung back to the visitors. But Blackburn was run out for a fine 66 on the second-last ball, leaving two required off the last delivery.
Thatcher arrived at the wicket and got an edge onto his pads and the ball flew to short mid wicket for a single at best.
But the Sinjuns fielder hurled it at the bowlers end, where nobody was backing up, and the batsmen were able to steal the winning run.
