The result of the appeal for Barry George, the man jailed for killing TV presenter Jill Dando, will be delayed.
At the close of the second day of the four-day hearing, the three judges hearing the appeal announced that they will be reserving judgement until a later date.
George's lawyers told the Appeal Court that the jury which convicted him ignored instructions to only discuss the details of the trial whilst in the precinct of the court.
The allegations come from a book by ex-armed robber John McVicar.
Barry George, from Crookham Road, Fulham, south west London, was sentenced to life imprisonment in July last year after being found guilty of killing TV presenter Jill Dando.
