Frimley 186 Croydon MO 1st XI 203
Croydon MOs enjoyed a successful weekend with both their first and second XIs posting victories.
The first XI survived their trip down the M3 to bat consistently with Asim Ali (42), Awais Afzaal (28), Shani (27) and Sunny Sharif (24) all making solid contributions in MO's total of 203.
In reply, Frimley seemed to be strolling at 136-2 until captain Awais Afzaal and Asad Butt triggered a dramatic collapse with four wickets each in a devastating spell of fast bowling.
Meanwhile, the second XI gained their first win since early May against previously unbeaten Olinda Vandals.
Vandals were put in and batted slowly against tight bowling to reach 172-5.
Allan Roane was the pick of the bowlers with 2-44 off 23 overs.
Aizaz Anwar (60) was well supported by Mohamed Dilawar (30), Roane (33) and TJ Rekhi (15) before Rajive Thapar won the match with an attacking 13 not out.
