Year 3 pupils at Old Palace School in Central Croydon entertained teachers and friends at the end of the summer when they presented an assembly about India.

Girls read Indian prayers and spoke about the religion and the food of this wonderful country.

All the girls presented an Indian dance at the end of the assembly, led by three pupils who attend weekend Indian dance classes. The audience praised the assembly and comments included: "I really enjoyed the dance, it was fun.

"I think India is a great country and would love to visit it."
