Old Palace schoolgirl Riya Patel was crowned the winner of a special Jubilee-themed painting competition last week, an event organised by the Croydon Guardian.
After a tough deliberation process, a team of judges finally decided on five-year-old Riya's winning entry, a colourful painting of the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Riya, just one of the category winners, was presented with her certificate and a trophy with her name engraved on it.
