Safety in the community is the message as Croydon Fire Station throws open its doors to the public on Saturday, July 20.
The day will see the public get the chance to learn about what it takes to be a modern firefighter, and have a go with the tools and equipment they use.
A barbecue, tea and coffee will be available, as will various activities including Carrom, a game popular in India, and also played all over Asia.
As well as fire safety messages, community and child safety will be highlighted by environmental health, the police and Croydon Council throughout the free event.
The day runs from 11am to 3pm, and will also see children's activities, rewards and give-aways.
Croydon Fire Station can be found just off Old Town, next to Croydon Flyover.
