FORMER pupils who had not been to school since the 1940s returned for a reunion with old classmates and teachers.
They were joined by others who attended Spring Park Comprehensive, in Hawes Lane, West Wickham, until it closed in 1982.
More than 100 pupils from Hawes Down Boys and Marian Vine Girls, which later became Spring Park Comprehensive, shared their childhood memories and rekindled old friendships at a buffet and disco at the school in Shirley Crescent, Elmers End.
Even the last headteacher, Rose McEwan, was there to join in the fun and the trip down memory lane.
