A strike by the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) has led to a shutdown of most parts of the tube network, causing trouble for an estimated three million commuters.
Limited services are running on the Jubilee, Metropolitan, Victoria, Northern and East London lines.
The tube is not expected to return to normal until Friday morning.
The union claims that London Underground has not consulted with it about the Government's proposed Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Information on active London Underground routes can be found on http://www.thetube.com .
