Unemployed people in Hillingdon are set to benefit from Fast Forward Grants totalling £69,000 which have made to seven local groups in the first round of awards.
To qualify for the grant, community groups based in the borough were invited to submit ways to help unemployed people gain skills and develop confidence.
The successful groups include: Hillingdon Asian Women's Group, Hillingdon Aids Response Trust, Hillingdon Somali Women's Group, Refugees in Effective and Active Partnership, Special Needs Action for Carers and Groundwork Thames Valley.
Fast Forward grants are still available up to September.
