WHAT a shock to have in the morning! The front page of the Guardian (July 4 edition) tells how North Weald airfield may be developed.
It seems that all developers want to do is line their pockets. They are not interested in the future of this country. One day, in years to come, the younger generation will ask what a green field is.
The people who fought for this country would have a fit if they saw what they gave their lives for.
I feel sorry for my children and grandchildren because the future is definitely not rosy.
The song goes 'in England's green and pleasant land'.
What about a caravan and camping site? At least it would bring in revenue and we would still have our green fields.
