TWO dog lovers from Bushey will brave the heights this month to raise money for an animal charity.
Mr Mark Stuckfield, of Spring Crofts, will take part in a 150ft abseil at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington, Oxford, with his Barclays Bank work colleague Anita Lowe, to help the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.
The bank has agreed to match them pound for pound in sponsorship.
The society, which is based in Chesham, was set up in 1963 to care for and re-house unwanted and homeless dogs.
About 550 dogs are looked after by the charity each year at a cost of more than £200 per animal.
To sponsor the pair, telephone 020 8387 0372. For more information about the society, telephone 01442 876009.
