Music Hall star Ida Barr has fallen on hard times. Since her retirement from the stage in the late sixties she has found herself in a spot of financial embarrassment and has had to dig out her costumes, dust them off and tread the boards again.
But she's back with a very "now" performance. Forget songs wailing about boys up in the gallery, Ida, who comes to the Braithwaite Hall, Croydon Clocktower on Saturday, September 21, at 8.30pm, has a programme featuring some Artificial Hip Hop and The Angina Monologues!
The invention of Chris Green, Ida Barr will share the spotlight with Madame Galina Korsakova. This event is part of Croydigras at the Clocktower in Katharine Street. Tickets are £8 from the box office on 020 8253 1030.
