ANYONE wanting to vote for councillors in the next election should register within the next month.
The local elections will be held in May next year and residents have until October 15 to register.
Electoral registration forms will be sent to all homes in the area over the next few weeks and it is a legal requirement to fill this in.
The electoral register will be published on December 1 and to appear on it, you must be over 16, as well as a citizen of Britain, the Commonwealth or a European Union state.
Anyone wanting a postal vote can indicate this on the form.
